Founder Story
Dr. Godwin Maduka is a physician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist whose professional path combines broad clinical training with a long-term commitment to community-focused healthcare delivery. His journey from Nigeria to the United States shaped the mission and structure of Las Vegas Pain Institute & Medical Center.
According to published biographical profiles, he moved to the U.S. in the early 1980s, studied chemistry at Rust College, earned a pharmacy degree at Mercer University, and later completed medical training through the University of Tennessee pathway, including an Internal Medicine internship. He then continued post-graduate training at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess in anesthesiology, critical care, and pain management.
In 1999, he founded Las Vegas Pain Institute & Medical Center to deliver a more comprehensive, one-stop model for chronic pain patients. That model integrates physician-led evaluation, interventional treatment pathways, and coordinated follow-up with the goal of helping patients restore function, mobility, and quality of life.
Today, his leadership continues to inform the clinic's patient-first approach, regional access strategy, and emphasis on evidence-based pain care across multiple Southern Nevada locations.
